Aerial Fun is A little Bit Different

Specializing in Lower Ceiling circus-style acro fitness to add another fun movement discipline to your current space. We noticed with our student demographic there was a gap between circus and the general population, we are here to bridge to gap. Sometimes it’s like you need a glossary for all the terms. Where we can’t keep it simple, we offer answers with an explanation.

Cliff Notes

Zina had learned gymnastics from scratch as an adult with a kids class (this was dedication)  It was the coolest thing and learn so much from the three-dimensional movement and knew that someday she needed to teach adults this. The benefits to  adults improve their quality of life and it’s just plain fun.

Fast forward a few years trying out one of the handled versions with a stiff fabric in a garage and being able to invert and be upside down the excited scream came out this is it I have found my tool to train adult sites — from that day on Zina has not looked back.

She researched for several weeks on different schools across the country to attend found a school at the time that was located in Rehoboth Delaware the focus was more on the aerial stretching and yoga but it was still a great place to start she knew from day one  she would want to teach Fitness and circus skills —  but to do this learning from other would be important to keep people safe.

This program was one of the safest on the market it combined it Fitness and stretching from one school and acrobatics from another.

In October of 2012 aerial Fun and Fitness was born.  We specialize in reaching a larger demographic with safety and progressions and modifications and also with lower ceilings allows us to access a broader base of people.

Lots of people want to do cool stuff but maybe they’re not quite strong enough to go join the circus this is where we fill in.

People have different needs. Some people need to stretch, some people need to get strong. Some people want to flip and fly. Some people just want to relax and restore.

This program teaches you how to teach all these different styles and keep people safe and engaged and coming back for more.

Since then we have been certified in aerial Hoop/lyra,  consulted with other industry professionals to create our own bungee fitness program. We are working on a silks program now getting training and teaching for next year.

We’ve also had teachers teach hula hoop and cardio drumming for us. We want to be an alternative to the gym.
